The Sky of Home
I don’t know how long I stood at The Portal, admiring the sky of home. Admire was all I could do. I would not cross through. Earth was now my home. I would find where Rowan burned my mother and hallow that place.
Then I would begin to count the days until I smelt Rowan’s rotted flesh gutted.
“You don’t plan on jumping, do you?” I heard Aed’s voice in my ear.
“The thought of seeking an endless path does not appeal to me,” I turned to him. “Besides, from such a journey, there is no returning…no opportunity for revenge.”
