“She died in an enclosed space.”

“She walked here, through the woods, Gael.”

I could hear the gentleness in Aed’s voice but did not care. “I will tear this depraved piece of madness down,” I shrieked. “And create for her a garden,” I added as tears continued to make tracks of grief on my face.

“Rowan has scheduled a memorial service for her. He expects you to be in attendance.”

“And if I am not,” I seethed.

“You will be. Come, let us begin casting aside these stones. Your garden will not grow magically over night. It will take two.”
